Isn’t crazy that you can be at the top of your game, but there is a little voice in the back of your head that is making you doubt everything that you are doing. What is this voice, and how do you get rid of it?
If you are like me this voice can push you to the edge, almost to the point of having a breakdown. When the stress and anxiety become too much it becomes unbearable, and it feels like the best option is to throw in the towel. As easy as this would be, this is not a best option for your life, but how do you fix the problem?
I have been working on ideas to overcome this all week. This is what I have come up with….(Please feel free to share any of your ideas on this subject as well.) The first way to deal with these thoughts is to sit down and think about how far you have come already. Write it down! Write down everything you have accomplished so far. It is hard to doubt yourself going forward when you are proud of what you have done!
Another way I have found to deal with that oh so annoying voice is to take some time for myself. I often find when I am feeling this way it is because I am feeling overwhelmed. This is a great time to take a therapeutic bubble bath, meditate, or go get a massage. After you feel like you have calmed down, sit down, and think about how to move forward. It may be that you need to take a detour to reach your desired destination.
Whatever it may be, realizing how far you have come, taking a moment to calm down, and figuring out the best way to move forward will help you overcome those voices of self doubt. Please take the time to take care of yourself. You are important!
