One of my biggest downfalls is not appreciating how far I have come in my life. I am so focused on moving forward that I often lose sight of how much I have accomplished.
I always say in order to get more out of or life you must appreciate what you already have, or in this case have achieved.
I have a feeling that I am not alone in this. In fact, it seems like we are programed our whole lives to look forward to what’s coming next.
From a young age we can’t wait to get older. When we are in our teens we are so excited to turn 16 so we can begin to drive car 🚘 and then 18 so we can become adults. We get excited to turn 21 because it opens up doors that were once closed. 🍺 We can’t wait to get married, 👰 🤵 and eventually retire. 🏌️ We often forget to be present and happy exactly where we are.
Today I encourage you to take some time and really think about how far you have come. Perhaps, you are raising or have raised wonderful children. 👶 Maybe, you have worked really hard to put yourself through school. 🎓 Or have become independent and are taking care of yourself. No matter where you are in life, take just a moment to be grateful for how far you have come.
🏖 Much Love,
