Don’t Lose Interest In Your Goals

Why do we lose interest in our goals?

You are all pumped up to start living in a different way. You sit down and plan it out. It is so exciting! You have wanted to achieve this forever. You wake up gung ho to get started!

A few weeks pass, and you notice that you are watching a little more TV than usual, and your goals seem to be falling by the wayside. What happened?

This has happened to me too many times to count. How can something that you are so pumped up and passionate about lose its importance?

What is the remedy to this? I feel like, for me, I have a fear of carrying out my goals. Do you ever think that you may self-sabotage yourself and this leads to not completing your vision for your life?

Now the more important question:  How to fix this issue?  I think a lot of it has to do with being very clear why you are trying to accomplish whatever it is you are trying to accomplish.

Next, writing it down has always served me well. Writing it down makes it clear and concrete. I believe the next step is to get focused. Don’t add in new projects and try to complete your goal as fast and efficiently as possible.

I am going to try this technique! One of the best lessons I’ve learned in life is, “if something is not working for you, try something else until you find something that works!”
